TU München has opted to focus on research-driven graduate training as a key priority and has founded TUM Graduate School (TUM-GS) as its central academic institution. It is under this umbrella that the graduate centers of the various TU faculties are organized.
With the resolution of the Extended University Management Board of November 5, 2010 the Graduate Center of the School of Education (FGC EDU) was likewise officially founded. This allows the School of Education to offer its doctorate candidates an attractive program of further training to dovetail with doctoral studies in collaboration with TUM GS.
The aim of the FGC EDU is to train doctoral students for leadership functions in education by providing them with a high-level professional, subject-related and interdisciplinary qualification.
